Potosi Psychologist Dr. Bacon will be offering a free class to the community on GRIEVING. Dr. Bacon will be answering questions like ... How do I honor my loved one's memory? How do I get unstuck? How do I help people understand my grieving? What do I do when the grief hits me unexpectedly? And more... 

Dr. Bacon would like to invite everyone to join her at Midwest Press in Potosi Next Tuesday, October 7th at 5:00 PM.

On Thursday, October 9, starting at 10:30 am, the West County Community Hope Center Golf Tournament will be held at the Terre Du Lac Country Club.

Format: Shotgun start / Four-person scramble

Schedule: 10:30 am Check in / Lunch with at 12:00 pm Shotgun start

Participation Fee: $100 per golfer and $400 per team

Mulligans: $5 each (Limit two per person)

Peterson Feed and Farm in Bonne Terre hosts their Farmers Market Days on the 2nd Saturday of each month from 9:00 am to 12:00 noon! 

They will host Chicken Poop Bingo at 11 am. The Cost is $20 a square. and there are only 50 squares per game! How to play: You pick a number for $20 per number. If poop lands on your square, you are a $500 winner! if the poop land on the line of 2 squares, the money is split 50/50-$250 each! If poop land on the corner of 4 squares-the money is split four ways-$125 each! You do NOT need to be present to win!  

Vendors will be there! 

When: Friday, October 17, 2025 

Location: Crown Pointe Golf Club in Farmington, MO.

Registration will be held at 8:00 am and 9:00 am will be the Shot Gun Start.

There will also be food trucks! Sugar Fire and Loaded will be there!

A blood drive will be held at Desloge City Hall - Community Room, located at 300 N. Lincoln on Tuesday, October 21, 2025, from 11:00-3:00 pm. by Parkland Health Center.

Desloge Public Library is hosting their annual Trunk or Treat on Wednesday, October 29 from 5-7 pm. Rain date is scheduled for Thursday, October 30th from 5-7 pm.

Habitat for Humanity of St. Francois County will host their 169th Annual Food, Wine & Beverage Tasting Fundraiser at The White Magnolia Reception Hall, located at 210 East Woodlawn Dr in Leadington on Friday, November 7, 2025, from 6:00 pm-11:00 pm.

They will feature local area wineries, restaurants and catering companies. Wine and Mead will be available for purchase by the bottle or the case. Stock up for the holidays!

Admission is $40 per person in advance or $50 per person at the door. The ticket price includes:

Souvenir wine tasting glass, 10 1 oz. wine tastings provided per guest, silent auction, Photo booth fun by Totally Sound Entertainment, Dessert Auction by Glenda Straughn and Wine Pull sponsored by Hearing Care Partners. 

***Must be 18 to enter and 21 to partake in alcoholic beverages.

Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Park Hills host a public food pantry each Friday from 7:30 AM until 9:30 AM.
