2020 Youth Turkey Hunt by the Numbers

(Missouri) The Missouri Department of Conservation reports that 2,712 turkeys were harvested during the past youth weekend, April 4th and 5th.

Miller County finished with the highest total with 74 turkeys harvested.  Ste. Genevieve was in third with 61, one behind Franklin County for second.

Other local counties include Jefferson with 30, Madison with 20, St. Francois with 16.  Iron and Washington counties both had 14 each.

Despite the coronavirus and social distancing measures implemented at the state and local level, the regular spring turkey season remains open as scheduled and runs April 20 through May 10.
