A Memorial for Ike The Crossroads Dog

(Ironton, MO) People around the world are talking about the life of a hound dog who was killed when he was struck by a vehicle at the intersection of highways 21 and N north of Ironton. He was known as Ike, the Panhandling Hound, who would wait at the intersection for treats from passersby. The Administrator of the Facebook page Fans of Crossroads Dog, Julia Dill, says they're taking donations for a memorial.

Ike was owned by the Miller family who, lived near the intersection. Ike has around 6,500 followers on the Fans of Crossroads Dog page. There appears to have been a witness to the accident but there are no clear details as to who might have been driving the vehicle that killed Ike.
