Another Motorcycle Accident in St. Francois County

(St,. Francois County, MO) Two Farmington residents, 56 year old Deborah L. Portell and 52 year old George E. Portell, are suffering serious injuries after the motorcycle they were riding struck a vehicle driven by 19 year old Devin R. McEntire of Bismarck Saturday afternoon in St. Francois County about 4:30. Missouri Highway Patrol Troopers say McEntire attempted to drive across Route O, at the intersection with Hillsboro Road, as he was headed north on Hillsboro. McEntire didn't yield to Portell's motorcycle, which was headed east, and the bike smashed into the spare tire of his vehicle causing the motorcycle to rollover throwing the Portell's off. The motorcycle skidded off the roadway and crashed into a road sign. Everyone was wearing a safety device when the wreck occurred. Both Portell's were flown to St. Louis Hospitals. McEntire was not injured.
