Authorities Have New Clues in Missing Iron County Man

Iron Co., Mo. (KFMO) - Authorities in Iron County continue their search for a man that has been missing since Saturday, June 8.

59-year-old Mike Jaco went missing from his home on County Road 110, when he left for a walk with his two dogs and never returned. His home is at the end of the county road, which is off of E Highway, outside of Arcadia, which opens up to forestry land.

Iron County Sheriff Chuck Helton said a dog team from the Missouri Department of Corrections went out searching for the missing man Monday evening.

While out searching, crews came across what appears to be Jaco's hat. Jaco suffers from dementia.

Crews are expected to continue searching on Wednesday, June 12.
