Baldwin Faces Felonies after Alleged Buss Threat

(Annapolis, MO) A man from Hidden Valley Lakes, near Annapolis in Iron County, is facing several felony charges including three counts of assault in the 3rd degree special victim and one count of escape, or attempted escape, from confinement by striking a person after he is alleged to have threatened to shoot a school bus. Information posted on the Iron County Sheriff's Facebook page indicates deputies received word that Bryan Baldwin was standing at the entrance to the Hidden Valley Lake development, on Highway 49, armed with an AR15 at about 3 pm last Friday. As the school bus approached the entrance to the development its driver, Scott Oatman, who is also the Mayor of Annapolis, decided to drive past the entrance when he saw Baldwin standing there with the weapon. Police then arrived and took Baldwin into custody. Witnesses on scene stated Baldwin said he was going to shoot the bus. At the time of the arrest Baldwin was in possession of an AR15 rifle with 2 loaded magazines and a handgun. Baldwin has a court date of Wednesday, November 9th, in Iron County for a bond appearance hearing.
