Bear Sighted in Ste. Genevieve

(Ste. Genevieve, MO) No injuries or property damage is being reported after a rural Ste. Genevieve resident reported a bear on his porch Saturday night. Reports show the bear had wandered onto the back porch of a home owned by Randy Vessell Saturday night. It's estimated the animal weighed about 300 pounds. The bear was seen in the area of Ste. Genevieve city Friday and Saturday. Officials warn if you see the bear do not approach it. Call your local Conservation agent or Law Enforcement officials.
