Bismarck Woman Seriously Injured in St. Francois County Crash

St. Francois Co., Mo. (KFMO) - A Bismarck woman sustained serious injuries in a single-vehicle crash on Thursday afternoon in St. Francois County.

According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, the crash occurred at approximately 3:35 p.m. on MO-221, north of Henson Road. Investigators say a 2017 Hyundai Tucson, driven by a 55-year-old woman from Bismarck, veered off the left side of the roadway, traveled over a driveway, and struck a tree.

The driver, who was not wearing a seatbelt, suffered serious injuries and was airlifted to Mercy Hospital St. Louis for treatment.

The vehicle sustained extensive damage and was towed from the scene.
