Body Found Iron County

(Ironton, Mo) - A body has been discovered in an Iron County waterway, and police are now trying to figure out what happened.  According to Iron County Sheriff Rodger Medley, the body was found Saturday in a portion of a creek between Des Arc and Annapolis.

The sheriff said the body appeared to have been in the water for quite some time, and they can't yet determine the age or gender of the person.  Medley says the body was sent to a forensic anthropologist in St. Louis for examination. He says the evidence so far suggests no foul play, but the investigation is ongoing.
