Bonne Terre Pipe Inventory Continues

Bonne Terre, Mo. (KFMO) - The inventory of infrastructure service lines continues in Bonne Terre and it could lead to the replacement of some of them.

Bonne Terre City Administrator, Shawn Kay, says some of the lines are several decades old.

According to Kay, the work involves city owned, and private, service lines and it's mandated by the Environmental Protection Agency.

Bonne Terre officials just spent $1.7 million to replace the water mains on Division and School Streets. So far, that move alone has saved the city 500,000 gallons of water a month.
