Chamber Shown Workforce Initiative

(Bonne Terre, MO) The Lead Principal of North County High School, Dr. Ryan Long, is visiting chambers of commerce in the Parkland to present the opportunities provided by a new community business partnership with the district. Long visited the Bonne Terre Chamber of Commerce monthly luncheon Wednesday to talk with business owners about the program. Long told the crowd district administrators want to address business models that aren't being taught in the schools other work study programs.

According to Long they also want to focus on the educational relationship, between the district and businesses in the Parkland, and awareness building. In other business at the Bonne Terre Chamber meeting Wednesday the owner of Bow Tie Catering, Kim Leftridge, was honored with a special proclamation for her many years of service to the community. Leftridge is retiring from the business and it was last luncheon to cater for the chamber.
