Charges After Death of Potosi Paramedic

(St. Louis, MO) A St. Louis woman, 27 year old Ariel E. Dilworth, is facing felony charges of involuntary manslaughter after she allegedly punched Paramedic Richard Wader, of Potosi, at South City Hospital in St Louis. Reports indicate Wader was escorting Dilworth out of the hospital at 3:45 am October 26th during his shift when she allegedly punched him in the face because she was upset with her care. Wader then died st St. Louis University Hospital and officials first thought his death was not criminal but was suspicious. They later determined the punch to the face triggered the cardiac incident that took Wader's life. Dilworth was charged Tuesday. She has a detention hearing Wednesday, December 28th at he Civil Courts Building in St. Louis. Wader spent 25 years as a paramedic, firefighter, and educator.
