Cinderella Win for McDowell

(Daytona Baech, FL) Driver Michael McDowell is celebrating his NASCAR win last night after a crash filled lap. It's McDowell's first career NASCAR Cup Series win in his 14th season. The final lap crash involved Joey Logano, Brad Keselowski and Kyle Busch. 

NASCAR welcomed some 30,000 fans to the Daytona 500. It was the largest sporting event in the country since the coronavirus shut down much of the sports world 11 months ago. The Super Bowl hosted 25,000 fans last week in Tampa, Florida, about 150 miles southwest of Daytona.
