Conservation Department Proposed Fee Increases

Jefferson City, Mo. (KFMO) - Officials with the Missouri Department of Conservation are proposing raising fees to permit prices.

A press release from the department indicates to keep pace with continual rising costs of goods and services they have implemented initial price adjustments to most permits over the past several years and propose additional adjustments to permit prices over the coming years. For 2025 an incremental increase to permit costs is proposed.

The Missouri Conservation Commission gave initial approval to the MDC proposed permit price adjustments at its May 2024 open meeting in Jefferson City.

Permits for migratory bird hunting, trout fishing, and daily fishing would increase.
