Court Date for Man in Jones Case

(Potosi, MO) One of the two men charged in the case of Mikayla Jones has a court date set for a bond appearance hearing. Ethan Civey is scheduled to go before Judge Troy Hide in Washington County Circuit Court June 15th. Washington County Sheriff Zach Jacobsen tells KFMO B104 News the other suspect, Andrew Franklin Pierce turned himself over to authorities Tuesday and has bonded out of jail. Jacobsen also says the investigation is ongoing and it is possible other suspects will be identified and questioned. Civey is charged with one count of Abandonment of a Corpse, four counts of Tampering with Evidence, and one count of Possession of a Controlled Substance. Pierce is facing one count of Abandonment of a Corpse and three counts of Tampering with Evidence. Jones died of an overdose and her body was found dumped just off highway M between Irondale and Caledonia.
