Courthouse False Fire Alarm Problem

(Farmington, MO) St. Francois County Court officials will be getting a new fire alarm control board after the work was approved by St. Francois County Commissioners at the Tuesday meeting of the commission. Presiding St. Francois County Commissioner, Harold Gallaher, says the control board in the system needs replaced and as a result it was randomly sounding off during court proceedings.

Gallaher adds the company that will handle the fire alarm is Roberts Alarms. In other business at Tuesday's St. Francois County Commission meeting an additional Deputy Coroner position was approved to handle the ever increasing case load and a contest to design a new County Seal was announced. Social media criticism spurred commissioners to encourage the public to come up with an idea for a replacement for the symbol currently in use. More details on the contest will be released next week.
