Deer and Motorcycle Wreck in Washington County

(Washington County, MO.) Two people are recovering from moderate injuries after the motorcycle they were riding struck a deer in Washington County Wednesday evening. Highway Patrol reports show 33 year old Mark R. Matthews, of Potosi, was driving the bike west at 17757 Route F when a deer ran into the road. The motorcycle struck the animal and Matthews, plus his passenger, 31 year old Tammy R. Drennen of Mineral Point, were thrown off. Drennen and Matthews, who were both moderately injured, were taken to Mercy Hospital South at St. Louis. The accident took place at 9 o'clock.
