Desloge Trash Fee Public Meeting

(Desloge, MO) A special public meeting of the Desloge Board of Aldermen will be held tonight to discuss a possible fee for trash pick up in Desloge and the setting of the city's property tax rate. The city's trash service has been free for Desloge Citizens for many years. City Administrator Dan Bryan says costs are going up and the citizens of Desloge may see a fee imposed soon.

According to Bryan if a trash fee is approved it could be around $10 to $11 per house hold monthly however an exact cost isn't yet known. The meeting for input on the fee is set to begin at 6 o'clock. The meeting for a public hearing on the tax rate will be held at 6:30. Both meetings are located in Desloge City Hall at 300 North Lincoln Street. The meetings are open to the public.
