Diesel Wreck Injures Bonne Terre Girl

(St. Louis, MO) Two Bonne Terre children, a 6 year old girl, and a 9 year old boy, are recovering from injuries after the SUV they were riding in was struck from behind by a diesel truck in St. Louis Monday afternoon at 1 o'clock. Troopers with the Highway Patrol say the SUV was being driven north on Highway 141, at San Simeon Way, by 52 year old Lisa L. Stojani, of Bonne Terre. Stojani's vehicle, and a car driven by 77 year old Kathleen E. Schisler, of St. Louis, were both stopped at a red light when the diesel truck, driven by 49 year old Bryan K. Meyer of Gerald, did not stop. The diesel crashed into the rear of both Stojani's SUV and Schisler's car. The 6 year old girl was moderately injured while the 9 year old boy received minor injuries. Both children were taken to St. Louis Children's Hospital. Meyer was not injured. Everyone else received minor injuries including a passenger in Schisler's vehicle, 79 year old Dennis D. Schisler of St. Louis. All of those involved in the crash were wearing their seat belt when the wreck took place.
