Farmington Schools Institute Mask Requirement

(Farmington, MO) Officials with the Farmington School district are announcing a mask requirement for all students that begins Monday, September 13th. School Superintendent Matt Ruble said in a statement on the district's website there are over 200 students quarantined and in an effort to keep on campus learning in place they decided to start the mask rule. Ruble adds another reason for keeping schools open is the administrators with the Missouri Department of Elementary and Secondary Education aren't making allowances for COVID related school closures as they did in the 2020, 2021 school year. Beginning Monday face coverings, or masks, will be required to enter any building in the Farmington R-7 School District for adults and visitors. Students 3rd Grade and up, will be asked to wear a facile mask or covering and they must be worn starting Monday. You can more on the specific aspects of the new rules at the Farmington R7 Facebook page.
