Farmington Schools Proposition F and S on April Ballot

Farmington, Mo. (KFMO) - Farmington School Distrrict patrons will decide the fate of two issues in the April 8th elections. One of those issues, Proposition F, is a no tax increase bond issue that would add physical improvements to several buildings. It would also add a performance center that would double as a FEMA storm shelter. Farmington City Councilman, and a patron of the district, Chad Follis, says students need the safety of the shelter and after this past weekend's severe weather, it's needed even more.

The second measure, a tax levy increase of 40 cents per one hundred dollars assessed valuation, would see the district's tax levy move from $2.75 to $3.15. If approved by voters the levy would increase teacher salaries and help fund the future of student programs. Tune in to KFMO B104 News for complete election coverage of the April 8th elections.
