Fire Chief Sustains Injuries in Wreck

(French Village, MO) Goose Creek Fire Chief Brian Friese is recovering from minor injuries after the fire truck he was driving was involved in a rollover accident. Reports from the Highway Patrol indicate Friese was driving the truck to a fire call at 7 o'clock Thursday morning. As the truck was traveling through an intersection at Puebla Drive and Nianga Drive in Goose Creek its brakes went out and Friese drove it off into a ditch to keep it from crashing into anything. Friese, who was wearing a seat belt at the time, was taken to Parkland Health Center at Farmington. The fire truck is reported to have received minor damage.
