Food Safety on 4th of July

Park Hills, Mo. (KFMO) - Food safety is a big part of holiday celebrations and things like 4th of July gatherings are no exception.

Executive Director of the St Francois County Health Center, Linda Ragsdale, says whether it's a picnic, barbecue, or fish fry for the 4th, remember a few basic tips that can help you prevent food borne illnesses.

According to Ragsdale if you have any questions about food safety, or other health concerns, you can call the health department at 573-431-1947, or visit their offices at 1025 West Main Street in Park Hills.
