Frustrating Session For Legislators

Jefferson City, Mo. (KFMO) - The recent 2024 Missouri Legislative Session is being called frustrating after ending earlier this month.

State Representative, Mike Henderson, says even though there were many issues that did not get addressed, there were some highlights to note.

According to Henderson his Bentley's law measure came close to passing, but didn't make it through the session. A measure helping with suicide prevention for veterans was passed by legislators.

The initiative petition issue was killed this year but, Henderson says, it may come up again next year. The bill deals with constitutional amendents not referendums.
