Governor Stops By Cozean Funeral Home To Help Celebrate 160 Years of Business

Farmington, Mo. (KFMO) - Missouri Governor Mike Parson stopped by Farmington Sunday to help Cozean Funeral Home celebrate its 160 year anniversary.

Members of the community gathered at Cozean Memorial Chapel on Columbia Street, where owner Jon Cozean was celebrated for his years of work. Don Otto, executive director of the Missouri Funeral Directors & Embalmers Association, thanked Cozean for his years on the Board of Directors and as its historian.

Governor Parson spoke to the good character of Cozean, before discussing his new book, 'No Turnin' Back'. Signed copies were given to those in attendance following the event.

Cozean Memorial Chapel was organized in 1864 by Thomas Lang during the height of the Civil War. The Cozean family has been in charge of the chapel for 110 years, with Jon Cozean assuming leadership in 1982.
