Hart Facing Possession Of Child Pornography Charges

(St. Francois County, MO) A Farmington man, 36 year old Carl Hart is facing three charges of possession of child pornography following his arrest on Wednesday, June 29th. A press release issued by the Missouri State Highway Patrol's Division of Drug and Crime Control states a search warrant was issued for Hart's residence in the 100 block of Garson Lane in Farmington. Following the investigation, law enforcement officials seized child pornography and a cell phone. The St. Francois County Prosecuting Attorney's Office formally charged Hart on Thursday, June 30th. Hart is being held at the St. Francois County Jail with a $250,000 bond. The Division of Drug and Crime Control encourages internet users to promptly report to the Patrol or local law enforcement anyone who attempts to engage in unwanted, inappropriate, or sexualized communications with children. The Digital Forensics Investigative Unit is partially funded by the Missouri Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force.
