Heat Dome Covering Missouri

(St. Louis, MO) The excessive heat warning continues through the Parkland until Thursday night and this is already the second excessive heat warning of the last 4 weeks. A Meteorologist with the National Weather Service in St. Louis, Jayson Gosselin, says Missouri is experiencing what he calls a heat dome, that is mainly in the Southern United States throughout most summers.

Gosselin adds the ideal situation to beat the heat is to stay indoors, but says if you have to work outside, take the proper precautions to stay safe and avoid heat related illnesses.
