High Speed Chase Ends Safely

(Park Hills, MO) On Thursday morning, just before 9:30 a.m., Leadwood police, in collaboration with several other local law enforcement agencies, engaged in a high-speed pursuit.

Leadwood Police Chief Chris Heatherly says he observed the suspect exceeding the speed limit by 10 mph and attempted to initiate a traffic stop, prompting the start of the pursuit.

Joining forces with the Park Hills and Leadington Police Departments, the St. Francois County Sheriff’s Department, and the Missouri State Highway Patrol, the pursuit eventually ended in the parking lot of Proffer Produce.

The identity of the individual involved has not been disclosed, and no injuries were reported during the incident.
