If Driving in Winter Weather Slow Down

(St. Francois County, MO) Officials with the Highway Patrol are asking drivers to slow down if they have to drive in our winter storm that's been predicted. The Patrol's Corporal Dallas Thompson, says even though it's best to stay home, those who have to drive with ice and snow on the roads, should slow down and allow extra stopping distance.

Thompson adds it's also vitally important you put together a winter weather survival kit for your vehicle. Extra blankets, bottled water, and packaged foods that are easy to eat, are recommended. Cell phone charging deices and a flashlight are also good additions.
