Impeachment of Desloge Mayor Halted, Board Votes to Stop Proceedings

Desloge, Mo. (KFMO) - Impeachment proceedings against Desloge Mayor Peter Pasternak came to a suprising end Monday night, as the Desloge Board of Alderpersons voted to end the process on a 4-2 vote.

A motion to end the process came from Alderwoman Debbie Kester, a longtime supporter of the mayor and opponent of impeachment. Alderman Travis Crews supplied the second. Alderpersons Kester, Crews, Linda Moore, and Mark Bonney then voted in favor of the motion. Alderpersons John Wigger and Kelly Harris voted against, voting to continue the impeachment proceedings. Monday's vote ends what had been a months long process featuring several contentious council meetings.
