Jefferson County Motorcycle Fatality

(Jefferson Co., MO) A man from Crystal City, 25 year old Brandon J. Copeland, is dead after a traffic accident in Jefferson County Thursday at 6:05 p.m.

Troopers with the Missouri State Highway Patrol say Copeland was riding his motorcycle north on Interstate 55, north of Route Z, when he lost control of the bike and it ran off the left side of the highway, struck the cable median barrier, and threw Copeland off.

He was pronounced dead at the scene. Copeland was wearing a safety device when the crash took place.
