Kater Will Continue Commission Projects

St. Francois Co., Mo. (KFMO) - The incumbent candidate for the St. Francois County Commission District 2 seat, David Kater, will stay in the position after being the unofficial winner of Tuesday's elections.

Kater says after working on several projects in the county he's pleased to be able to continue putting his efforts into things like the Berry Road Bridge project among others.

Kater defeated his republican ballot opponent, Michael Barton II, with a little over 60% of the vote. Kater is automatically the unofficial winner of the November election as well, since no other party candidate chose to run for the position in the primary.
