Long Time Economic Developer Dies

(Fredericktown, MO) A former regional leader in city administration and economic development in the Parkland, Jim Rook Dismuke, is dead at the age of 90. Dismuke had served as the Economic Developer and City Administrator for Farmington in the 1990's and was also responsible for helping name our area The Parkland in effort to bring in additional tourism and business interest to the region. Dismuke also helped negotiate the investment of the Centene Corporation's move to Farmington and helped work the expansion of the city's industrial park. He also worked for the city of Fredericktown. Dismuke died December 21st. Funeral services For Jim Rook Dismuke are today at 11 am at the Follis and Sons Funeral Home in Fredericktown.
