Loughboro Road Fire Destroys Home

(Bismarck, MO) A home on Loughboro Road is a total loss after a fire Wednesday night. As Bismarck firemen were called to the home law enforcement officials arrived on scene and confirmed there were flames shooting from the residence. Information from the Bismarck Fire Protection District's Facebook page indicates there were high winds fanning the flames causing heavy fire to come through the garage roof and spread into the home. All family members were evacuated and fire personnel made entry through the front door. They were immediately hit with heavy fire throughout the room and the a floor collapsed with two firefighters inside. A mayday order was called on site and all firefighters evacuated the structure. Fire operations went into a defensive mode until the alarm was brought under control. One firefighter sustained minor injuries and was treated on the scene. Bismarck personnel received assistance from the Park Hills, Farmington, Leadington, Doe Run, Desloge, Leadwood, Terre Du Lac, Big River, DeSoto Rural, Irondale, and Belgrade fire departments.
