Madison County Crash Sends Marquand Woman to St. Louis Hospital

Madison Co., Mo. (KFMO) - A 64-year-old Marquand woman was injured in a one-vehicle crash Monday evening in Madison County.

According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, the crash happened around 5:57 p.m. Monday, August 17, on Route M, approximately two miles south of Buckhorn.

The patrol says the woman was driving a 2004 Ford Explorer southbound when the vehicle ran off the right side of the roadway after she overcorrected. The SUV then struck a tree.

The driver suffered moderate injuries. She was transported by Air Evac to Mercy Hospital South in St. Louis for treatment.

The Ford Explorer was totaled in the crash and was towed from the scene.
