Microwave Fire Destroys Apartment

(Bonne Terre, MO) An apartment is destroyed after a microwave fire at 901 Grove Street in Bonne Terre Wednesday afternoon. No injuries are being reported after Big River Bonne Terre firemen were called to the apartment just before 2 o'clock. Fire Chief David Pratte tells KFMO B104 News when crews arrived there was heavy smoke coming from the apartment keeping them from getting inside at first. The building was evacuated and the fire was contained quickly. Several departments provided assistance to Big River Bonne Terre fire department.
