Mineral Point Man in Custody

(Desloge, MO.) A man from Mineral Point, 39 year old Jeremy Gossett, is in custody after he refused to stop for Desloge police during a traffic stop Wednesday afternoon in Desloge. Gossett is charged with felony unlawful possession of a firearm, and several misdemeanor charges including resisting arrest, failing to yield to an emergency vehicle, driving while revoked/suspended, failure to register a motor vehicle, and unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia. When police tried to pull Gossett over for having a license plate that wasn't registered he sped off. Troopers with the Highway Patrol used spike strips on Highway 32 at Davis cCrossing Road to stop Gossett's truck. He tried to run on foot and was taken into custody. Gossett has a previous criminal history and was serving probation on a suspended execution of a 10 year sentence.
