(Farmington, MO) St. Francois County officials are creating a new position titled Grant Coordinator after the Tuesday weekly county commission meeting. St. Francois County Presiding Commissioner, Harold Gallaher, says county officials were writing about 10 grants a year not long ago but now the total is up to 30 or more a year.
Bridget Smith was appointed to the position. In other business at the St. Francois County Commission meeting the four asphalt overlay projects were announced. The county roads to get the work include Copenhagen, Turley Mill, Old Jackson, and Valley Forge. Commissioners also approved purchase of 50 new computers was approved, as well as a new structure to protect salt for county roads.
