New Year Crash Statistics

(Jefferson City, MO) Missouri State Highway Patrol officials say 2 people died and 75 were injured in 243 traffic crashes during the 2023 New Year’s holiday counting period, which began at 6 p.m. Friday, December 30th, and ended at 11:59 p.m. Monday, January 2nd. There were also no boating crashes and no drownings over the counting period. Troopers investigated 243 Crashes with 75 injuries and 2 fatalities. There were 104 DWI arrests. Both of the fatal crashes occurred in the Troop E, Poplar Bluff area.
