Park Hills, Mo. (KFMO) - The City of Park Hills will hold a public hearing Tuesday, August 25, on the proposed 2026 property tax rate.
The hearing will begin at 6 p.m. in the Park Hills Council Chambers, located at 10 Municipal Drive. Residents will have an opportunity to comment on the proposed rates.
The Park Hills City Council has proposed the following property tax rates per $100 of assessed valuation:
- General Fund: $0.4819
- Debt Service Fund: $0.4100
The proposed rates are the same as the city's current property tax rates. The rates remain subject to approval by the Missouri State Auditor.
City Administrator Zach Franklin says establishing the property tax rates is part of the process of preparing the city's Fiscal Year 2027 budget, which begins October 1, 2026.
Franklin says the budget will provide funding for employee expenses and the resources needed to keep city operations running.
The public hearing will give Park Hills residents an opportunity to provide input before the proposed property tax rates move forward for approval.
