Parson Sending Troops to DC

(Jefferson City, Mo) - Governor Mike Parson said Wednesday that he was sending Missouri National Guard troops to Washington, D.C. amid protests in the nation’s capital.

When asked by reporter whether the guard troops can arrest people or use other types of force, Parson said while he is trying to use the guard in ways to free up officers to go to the front line, legally, national guard troops can absolutely arrest people if needed.
