Pilot Knob Man Injured in Wreck

(Iron County, MO) A man from Pilot Knob, 66 year old Gary J. Whited, is recovering from moderate injuries after he was involved in a one car wreck in Iron County Tuesday morning about 11 o'clock. Highway Patrol reports show Whited was driving south on Highway 21, 2 miles north of Pilot KNob, when he lost control of the automobile and it ran off the left side of the highway and smashed into a tree. Whited was not wearing his seat belt during the wreck. He was flown to Mercy Hospital in St. Louis.
