Bonne Terre, Mo. (KFMO) - Sightseers came out in droves Monday afternoon, after St. Francois County Joint Communications sent out an alert of a possible alligator lurking the Bonne Terre Pond.

Calvert says he's not sure how the gator got into the pond. He says that the Missouri Department of Natural Resources has been notified about the issue and is working with the city to resolved the matter.
If you see the gator, do not go near it. For non-emergency reporting, call 573-431-3131 and report it to St. Francois County Joint Communications. If it is an emergency, immediately call 911.
