Potosi Man Facing Charges

(Washington County, MO) A man from Potosi, 39 year old James Dean McConnell Jr. set for a court appearance in Washington County April 18th after being charged with second degree assault special victim, armed criminal action, resisting arrest, detention, or stop by fleeing, and failing to register a motor vehicle and other traffic related charges. Reports indicate Washington County Sheriff's officials attempted to pull over a vehicle being driven by McConnell February 14th yet he failed to stop. McConnell is said to have lead deputies on a high speed chase on Highway 21 near around Nestor Road. When he finally stopped he ran into the woods but was captured. McConnell was booked into the Washington County Jail on a $100,000 bond.
