Prepare Ahead of Bad Weather Driving

(St. Francois County, MO) With extremely cold temperatures in the Parkland it's a good idea to be prepared if you have to drive in winter weather. The Highway Patrol's Corporal Dallas Thompson says it's a good idea to carry a variety of resources with you in case there's an emergency.

Thompson reminds us it's never too late to get together a few items for your vehicle. Blankets, non perishable foods, and a cell phone with an extra charging block, are a must if you're driving in extreme weather conditions. In cold weather layering your clothing can also be helpful. Thompson adds you can always call *55 for emergency assistance with help from the Highway Patrol.
