Route 72 Iron and Madison Counties Pavement Improvements Planned

Iron Co., Mo. (KFMO) - Route 72 in Iron and Madison counties will be reduced to one lane with a 10-foot width restriction as contractor crews resurface the roadway and add shoulders.

This section of roadway is located from Pine Street in Ironton to West Main Street in Fredericktown.

Weather permitting, work will take place Monday, April 7, 2025 through Wednesday, Oct. 1, 2025 from 6:30 a.m. to 7 p.m. daily.  

The work zone will be marked with signs. You're urged to use caution while traveling through the area during construction.
