(Leadington, MO) Park Hills Leadington Chamber of Commerce members are considering aspects of mental health, and other safety concerns in the workplace, after Tuesday's monthly chamber business luncheon. A Social Worker in the Parkland, Whitney Shumway,
was one of the featured speakers at the event and she told the crowd she can bring suicide prevention education to businesses and others.
A Paramedic and EMS Educator Coordinator with the St. Francois County Ambulance District., Dave Miller, also spoke to the crowd about workplace safety. Miller told the crowd many of their calls to businesses are preventable.
Information on the chamber's special Sauces and Shows event in June was also given out at the Park Hills Leadington Chamber of Commerce meeting.
