Shooting Brings Charges For Dittmer Man

(Desloge, MO) A man from Dittmer, 25 year old Kyle Christopher Walters, is facing first degree involuntary manslaughter charges after an alleged accidental shooting in the drive thru line at the Desloge Jack in the Box Restaurant Sunday morning. Reports indicate 22 year old Scott Jones, of Fenton, was killed in the incident when, according to officials, Walters was in the back seat when the gun accidentally discharged. The bullet went through the driver's seat in front of Walters striking Jones in the back. He was pronounced dead at 7:58 am. Witnesses confirmed the story and evidence was recovered. Walters was booked into the St. Francois County Jail on a $50,000 bond.
