Slick Roads Cause Fire Apparatus Accident

(Imperial, Mo) At approximately 7 a.m. Monday, a Rock Community Fire Protection District apparatus was involved in an accident, cuased by the icy roadways.  

The department was responding to a still other alarm in the 1700 block of Parkside Place. Upon responding in the inclement weather, the Rock Community apparatus began to slide and struck a vehicle involved in the original accident and came to a stop.

According to a press release from Rock Community Fire Protection District, there was no structural damage to the home that the apparatus stopped near. Both the firetruck involved and the original car involved both sustained damage.

There were no injuries reported during this incident.
