St. Francois County 3 Vehicle Crash

St. Francois Co., Mo. (KFMO) - 51-year-old Tina M. Kester, of Valles Mines, 31-year-old Tayler J. Abel, of DeSoto, and 19-year-old Terrilyn L. Martin, of Kutztown, Pa., are recovering from moderate injuries after a three vehicle crash Sunday morning, just after 10 a.m., in St. Francois County.

According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, the wreck occurred at southbound Highway 67 and Berry Road. Kester, who driving a van west, failed to yield for southbound traffic on Highway 67. When she pulled into the roadway Abel, whose SUV was traveling south on 67, attempted to avoid a collision and struck a pickup, also driven south on 67, by 45-year-old Roger L. Walka of Festus.

Martin, a passenger in Walka's truck, and Abel, were transported to Parkland Health Center North at Bonne Terre. Kester was taken to Mercy Hospital Jefferson at Festus.

Everyone was wearing a seat belt when the crash took place.
